This earlier photographic work deals with ritual.

The images were highly stylized set pieces, with draped figures performing ritual using natural elements: sticks, antlers, leaves, and eggs.

There are single figures and couples who speak of healing the split between the genders.

I strove for elegance and high style in these images and created many props for use in the photographs.

It was this practice of making things for these images that gave me the opportunity to explore mixed media.
